My Review Where do I even begin with this storyline? It captured my heart from the minute Sutton walked across the yard the night before she left for college giving herself to Grady. I knew it would hold my heart in it’s hand and keep it there until the end and boy did it ever and them some. The love story between Sutton and Grayson is so deeply seated that only the deeply disturbed can deny their connection. It is a very well written and I love how they ended up at the Thicket in the end with sweet Ollie. It was another homerun from Harloe Rae.
I hope Jace get a story, I have a feeling their is a story hiding in there somewhere dying to come out.
I was only seven the first time Grady
Bowen whispered those words to me. Cloaked by the black sky under a blanket of
stars, it was easy to get lost. He didn’t have any good memories of his own,
and needed to borrow mine. I’d willingly give him anything.
Being infatuated with that boy was a
beautiful curse. What could have been special didn’t get the chance to bloom.
He’d never see me as more than his best friend’s kid sister. That was a hard
lesson to learn, but not the most difficult.
Grady had always been struggling
against the odds. Eventually he quit fighting and let his family’s reputation
own him. Try as I might, those influences were beyond my reach.
He didn’t mean to break my heart. Or
maybe he did. I shouldn’t have made it so easy for him. Either way, our wrongs
against each other carved new lines between us.
I went four years without seeing
Grady—each one more painful than the last. That distance did nothing to dull my
feelings toward him. But things are different now. Most noticeably is Grady. I
barely recognize this man he’s become. And that’s the way he intends to keep
it. Not that it really matters.
Grady Bowen stopped being my happy something long ago.

I think Ian and Valetina maybe my favorite couple of this series.
Ian is a big tatooed drummer in a rock band and is a closed-off guy, who spends most of his free time doing puzzles and playing his drums. He is not a people person. He grew up with speech issue and his parents preferred him to be seen not heard unless he was playing the piano which he did very well. Deep down he thought it was just better to not speak since no one cares what he said, especially when it took him some time to get the right words out during a conversation. His band memebers where his family, they were his brothers and didn’t let his hide for too long before they got in his face to make him get out of his own head and live life.
Valentina was a pixie like young woman who spend most of her time making cosplay costumes for her customers. She is a very talented designer and artis. She is not very trusting of others due past experiences that showed her how mean and disloyal people can be. She tries to go on dates, blind dates, set up by friends and she hates every minute of it. She grew up shelter by her parents so she is looking for some adventure. What kind of adventure could she get into with a hot tatooed drummer who lives next door?
Ian and Valetina are neighbors and one day they meet and an unbelieveable attraction forms that neither know how to deal with. They go back and forth between neighbors and friends, they find comfort in each others company but don’t know how to be more than friends without ruining what they have built so far.
I promise this story will melt your heart and beg for more of thier story.

Peck Ward, the sweet, small-town mechanic, isn’t sure it’s
for everyone. Least of all him. His life is chaotic enough without adding the
pressure of a relationship. Besides, unrequited love is a real thing and he’s
kind of over it.
This works out perfectly until a certain someone throws a

possibly something more, things get complicated. After all, they know how this
story ends. It’s not with them together.
